The Collective

Our Program

What We Do

We prepare our kids with foundational skills, knowledge and tools to develop a powerful mindset, enabling them to conquer the challenges that have faced generations of adults. Our family-centric community creates a nest of support that extends beyond our year-long curriculum and allows kids to soar in life.

The cornerstone of Nest Collective is a weekly after-school program where kids experience a skills-based curriculum created by a team of educators with backgrounds in psychology, teaching and art and dance therapy.

  • Deliver custom educational content focused on strengthening sense of self, emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • Run learning modules experientially incorporating art, dance, movement and drama to bring our curriculum to life
  • Create and foster friendships and a growing community of ‘girls supporting girls’ outside of school
  • Encourage girls to tap into their innate bright spirits, empowering them to feel seen and heard’

Why It Matters

Kids in the early elementary years are frequently characterized as bold, confident and limitless, but as they enter tween years, their voice often dims due to the societal expectations and what can be described as “good kid” norms.

We want to get ahead of the curve and preventatively arm kids with a resilient mindset, positive habits and a supportive community to soar above the challenge on the horizon.

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS:

  • 46% of girls don’t believe they’re smart enough for their dream career
  • 1 in 3 will stay away from leadership positions because they don’t want to appear bossy
  • 1 in 2 don’t speak their mind because they want to be liked
  • Confidence declines sharply from 5th to 9th grade and often doesn’t return to pre-middle school levels
